Julian Walker

project funding 2002

Julian WalkerJulian Walker received funding to travel to Berlin to meet the directors of the Institute of Microbiology and the Museum of Medical History and to research material for a project looking at non-medical work undertaken by medical pioneers, particularly Robert Koch and Rudolf Virchow. This was combined with research undertaken in the UK on medical pioneers also famous for non-medical work, such as William Harvey, Hans Sloane, William Stukeley, Edward Jenner.

The project has yet to be realised, but the research has continued and the material continues to be used by Walker in his work.
